Building Anti-Racist Youth Programs That Empower
The BE RESET Program equips youth-serving organizations with the tools and strategies necessary to create equitable and empowering environments for both staff and youth participants.
We begin with collaborative meetings to understand your organization's goals in youth development and positive culture building.
CUSTOMISED APPROACH
Pulse surveys and discovery meetings with staff and participants inform an in-depth report on your youth programming and its alignment with racial equity principles.
DATA - DRIVEN ASSESSMENT
All staff build a shared understanding through a self-paced online course on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles.
FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE
Engaging, customized training sessions for all staff to delve deeper into anti-racism practices, community care, and implementation strategies.
INTERACTIVE TRAINING SESSIONS
Targeted training equips youth workers with skills in culturally responsive engagement, managing volunteers, and addressing structural racism's impact on youth.
FRONT-LINE STAFF FOCUS
Separate cohorts for leaders and front-line managers address topics like staff supervision, onboarding, and anti-racist communication with stakeholders.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
A 6-month follow-up ensures progress, offers continued support, and tailors additional services to your evolving needs.

Offer targeted support for staff development and retention. We work with individual staff members on a variety of topics, including navigating challenging workplace dynamics, developing culturally responsive practices, and building self-care strategies.

Support the organization in updating all or selected program curriculum (including program calendars, events, workshops, lesson plans, etc.) through a DEI lens. We will review your existing curriculum and provide recommendations for revisions or create entirely new curriculum materials that ensure your programs are culturally relevant, inclusive, and minimize bias.
Provide tailored strategic thought partnership to address specific DEI and culture challenges within the organization that may not already be addressed.
Train select staff on how to best support program alumni in transitioning from being participants to organizational employees.
